Pain medications, like aspirin or Ibuprofen, are not cures for pain, they just “treat” the symptom. They do this by blocking the messages to the brain that there is an injury. If the brain does not know there is a problem, it will not try and fix it. This slows the healing process. Javier Bustamonte was suffering lower back pain, which he was treating with pain medications. Javier came to our office, referred by his brother, Jorge. After 3 weeks of adjustments, Javier was able to stop taking the meds. He says he is now able to play baseball or soccer without having to take Advil or Tylenol afterwards. Javier has referred family and friends to our office, for their drug-free healing.
